Who doesn’t dream of being in London in the fall? The perfect weather, fewer crowds and fall fashion make my heart so happy. One of the best things about traveling is planning outfits specific to each location and season. Packing can be a stressful part of travel so I’ve put together a list of all the things I would be packing for a trip to London this fall. I love trying to use items I already have but it’s fun to buy a few new things for a trip as well.
Check out my ideas for what to wear to London this fall! Hopefully it inspires you and takes the stress away from packing this season, wherever you go!

Tops
Keep tops simple, minimal and easy to layer. When trying to save space or only travel with a carry on, having items that can be worn multiple ways is huge.
- White T-shirt
- Simple, classic, easy to wear and a perfect fall layering piece.
- Cute Tanks
- If I have the choice, I’m always picking a tank over anything. It’s another great layering piece for fall. Plus the sweater vest and tube top are perfect going out tops.
- Long Sleeve Tops
- Cute and cozy. You can dress them up or down and layer with anything.
- Cardigan/Sweater
- Potentially one of the most important items. I’m always cold so no matter what shirt I choose a sweater or sweatshirt will be going on top. I’m dying to wear the blue sweater below.
- Comfy Hoodies
- This is where I live. My happy place. Sweatshirts to me look so chic and cool in the fall. I love the cozy and minimal vibes of the ones below. Great for the airport or a day exploring.
- Versatile Jacket
- Depending on when you visit Europe an extra layer might be nice. I’m loving oversized jackets recently and these are my top pics.
Bottoms
- Fave Pair of Jeans
- Fall = Denim. I would pack a black pair, light denim, and white/tan pair. The baggy, relaxed fit jeans have my heart right now. But grab your fave pair in what ever style you like and they’ll be perfect.
- Comfy Pants
- I’m serious. Comfort over everything for me. If you’re looking for something other than denim these would be great!
- Skirts
- Just image these with a pair of boots or sneakers. Or some tights! All of the skirts have built in shorts which is crucial for me when traveling and walking all day. Adding a skirt or two to your packing list is a fun option when you’re done wearing jeans.
- Shorts
- Shorts might be controversial for fall but I love them. Pairing shorts with a hoodie or sweater and some sneakers or knee high boots would be so fun. And I’ve been loving athletic shorts for travel, cute and so comfy.
Shoes
- I choose comfort over everything especially when I’m traveling. These shoes are comfy, cute and cool. Catch me wearing these this fall in London. Take these styles as inspiration or choose a style that fits you best. I like having at least two pairs of sneakers, a pair of sandals and a pair of boots.
Accessories
- Cute Sunnies
- Maybe not a necessity but adding a pair of sunglasses can make your outfit a little more elevated.
- Bags
- For travel days and long days out exploring I would choose a cross body bag. They’re easy and keep everything close to you at all times which brings great peace of mind. I also love a big tote bag or a small under shoulder bag.
- Beanie/Cap
- These are great to pack for days when you don’t want to do your hair or need extra warmth. Plus they can complete an outfit and help you feel more put together.
Hopefully this gave you some outfit inspiration for what to wear to London this fall. It definitely got me excited for my next trip. The most important thing to remember when planning your outfits is the comfort and versatility of the pieces. It’s so much easier to pack and plan outfits when you can mix and match everything together. Throw in a couple of fun pieces as well and you’re ready to go. Can’t wait to see what you end up wearing.
