Getting Around Barcelona: Tips for Public Transit & Walking
Barcelona is VERY walkable, especially on Day 1 when exploring the Gothic Quarter and surrounding areas. It’s one of the reasons I love this city so much.
For Day 2, things are a bit more spread out. I recommend using Barcelona’s metro or buses, they are clean, safe and easy to navigate. Pro tip: Take the bus to Park Güell—it’s the best and least stressful option!
Wrapping Up Your 2 Day Barcelona Itinerary
After figuring out how to spend 48 hours in Barcelona I know you’ll see why so many people (including myself) love this city. From the charming streets, the vibrant culture, the amazing museums and more, I hope Barcelona becomes as unforgettable to you as it was for me.
Just a reminder, as with any big city you visit, it’s important to stay aware and mindful as you explore. Barcelona is generally very safe but it’s always important to watch your belongings, especially in crowded areas like Las Ramblas, the metro or near major attractions.
Most of all, just embrace the spontaneity, soak in all the beauty and enjoy every single bite of churros and gelato! I promise your two-day taste of Barcelona is just the beginning, this city has a way of pulling you back for more.
